About

Hi! I am the Learning and Technology Coach at the Western Academy of Beijing in China. Originally from NZ, I have been teaching overseas since 2001.

Tip of the Iceberg is a place for me to try and get beyond a tokenistic approach to technology integration. I want to make meaningful connections for all students and help them become effective collaborators, communicators and creators, with a commitment to social responsibility.

Tip of the Iceberg is also a place for me to reflect on my learning through technology, a dumping ground for miscellaneous thoughts and a place to share my favourite links.

The views expressed are my own, and not those of my employer. All mistakes are definitely my own!

I am klbeasley on Twitter, so please look me up.

  1. Hi Keri-Lee – I work as a Curriculum Manager for the PYP, and would love to talk to you more about creating some teacher support materials for the upcoming review – email me if interested!
